Palate: Clean and fruity initially, with a burst of ripe apples and greengage, then cinnamon and cardamom arrive, with milk chocolate, more orchard fruits and cigar box.
Finish: The fruit and spice combine for an elegant, but intense finish.
Comment: Very different in style to the big names of the industry, this is an intensely flavoured, savoury-leaning Cognac with plenty of fruit, but with none of the ‘fat’ wood and spice found in other bottles. Rewards quiet contemplation.
